Our School Day

Our school days starts at 8.45am and we finish at 3.15pm, offering 32.5 hours of school in a regular 5 day week. Our school doors open at 8.45am where children go straight into class to meet their teacher and begin their early morning tasks. Our school gates close at 8.55am and early morning learning continues until 9am. 

If a child is running late, and arrives at school after 8.55am when the doors are closed, we kindly ask they enter the main building via the office and 'check in' at the school office to be registered before heading to class. Children who miss morning registration will be marked late if they arrive after 9am. 

Every class has their own personalised timetable which is shared with parents at the beginning of the year. Most days follow a structured timetable like the one below: 

8.45 - Early Morning Tasks

9.00am - Registration 

9.05am - Maths 

10.00am - Phonics/Spelling 

10.30 am - Playtime 

10.45 am - Guided Reading and Writing 

12.00pm - Reception and Keystage 1 lunctime 12.15pm - Key Stage 2 lunchtime 

1.00pm - Topic session 

2.00pm - Topic session 

2.45pm - Assembly 

3.00pm - Storytime 

3.15pm - Hometime
