Useful Links for Learning

Here you will find some ideas for websites that you might find useful when supporting your child at home.  There are loads out there, and more are being added all the time, but these could work well as a starting point:
 
Well Being and Keeping Active
 
Scouts  The Scouts have developed some brilliant indoor activities to help keep your children learning new skills and having fun.
 
PE with Joe The Body Coach, Joe Wicks, will be running daily 30 minute workouts for children at 9am Monday to Friday each week on his Youtube channel - parents beware, it's hard work!!
 
Cosmic Yoga - yoga, mindfulness and relaxation designed especially for children  - a big hit in my house!
 
Go Noodle - Go Noodle is full of videos to get you dancing, stretching, running, jumping and breathing.  We use this a lot at school - if you're not singing 'Banana, banana, meatball!' by the end of the week I'll be very surprised!
 
Edinburgh Zoo  The zoo has lots of live cameras on their animals - this one is to the pandas, but there are others to choose from.
 
TED Talks for Kids Inspiring TED Talks for children on a wide range of subjects.

Twinkl A wide range of educational resources to support home learning made free with the code UKTWINKLHELPS
 
Teacher's Pet  A website with free weekly downloadable home learning packs every Friday for EYFS, KS1 and Lower KS2.
 
BBC Bitesize A free online study support resource which includes an area for primary children.
 
Amazon Audible Audible is currently offering a collection of children's stories free to stream while schools are closed.
 
Online Read Alouds  Weareteachers have compiled a useful list of authors who will be reading aloud from their books, providing drawing workshops, and more!
 
Topmarks This website is full of free educational resources for a range of subjects.
 
Transum Free mathematical activities, puzzles, problems and more.
 
National Geographic Kids Here you can research and learn amazing facts about animals, science, history and geography, along with games and competitions.
 
Scratch An online coding site - one of the best there is!
 
Scratch Jr Available as an app, this is similar to Scratch but at an easier level for younger children
