The NSPCC has published a 'positive parenting' leaflet which includes lots of advice for parents and carers about different strategies that can be used with children.

Anxiety in childhood is becoming much more recognised as an issue for schools and parents to manage.  There is a guide for parents created by Action for Children and The Children's Society that you may find helpful if you are concerned about your child: 
The Family Information Service
The Family Information Directory is a fantastic resource for both parents and professionals. You can easily search for childcare providers, children’s activities, local events and family days out. There’s also details of various support groups for parents and support and services for children with special educational needs and disabilities. Searches can be filtered by various categories, including type of service or activity, location, child’s age and more. "

The Family Information Service Exchange Website
The exchange website is set up for parents with children with additional needs. Parents can sign up to get a Max card which can give parents a discount on varies activities. The child does need to have a diagnosis to receive the Max card.
